The rationale behind these resources is to build teacher confidence in the incorporation of Digital Technologies. This is one way to view the ‘big picture’ for how you can work towards implementing the delivery of Digital Technologies:
Establishing DigiTech within your kura
Introducing ways to incorporating DigiTech within a cross curricular context
Kaiako can co-construct lesson ideas for learning with Digital Technologies in the curriculum
Kura can work towards incorporating DigiTech into the wider curriculum with help from other kaiako through teacher networks or through Kahui Ako.
These resources are intended to be used with the DTTA learning library which has classroom kits for Makey Makey's and Micro:bits.
These resources are intended to help you to extend the learning that happens in Digital Technologies lessons in Years 7-8. These activities are designed to be used in a flexible way and can either be stand alone lessons or be part of a programme or rotation of lessons. The lessons in this section are intended to be a foundation for learning that happens in Year 8. You can also use these resources to extend your ideas as the intent is to contribute to the bigger picture in terms of extending curriculum focus.
